Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at Jake@FlatlineHardgoods.com or DM @FlatlineHardgoods on instagram if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Pricing varies greatly, but our sweet spot is in the $600-$1000 range. The main factor in price is the handle. We can use simple single piece handles, but specialize in multi-piece handles that feature a variety of materials such as carbon fiber, micarta, G10, wood, etc.

Tough question because we can do a ton of in shop customization like laser engraving, cerakote, made in shop micarta, etc... but there is also a near limitless amount of materials we purchase from U.S. sellers to build you a one of a kind handle. Check our gallery for inspiration! Pro tip: a good color combo and budget is all we really need!

Yes, we offer professional sharpening services for all types of knives. Contact us for more information as pricing does vary based on knife. Jake@FlatlineHargoods.com

Our knives are made from high-quality materials such as MagnaCut steel, and U.S. sourced handle materials. We are also extremely proud of the micarta we make in shop with U.S. military uniforms.

From the moment we receive the steel, everything is done by hand in shop. No computerized processes.

The custom knife time frame is hard to nail down because we rely on steel suppliers that are out of our control. We have several months worth of steel stocked up, but also several months worth of custom orders! We appreciate your patience while we work hard to make your knife!

Micarta is a composite material made by layering fabric like camouflage uniform, canvas, denim, burlap, etc... with resin and is then compressed with extreme pressure. It creates a tough and durable knife handle material.

-grippier feeling, patina and rugged look, lightweight, natural feel, breaks in like a glove

G10 is a fiberglass based laminate made by layering fiberglass and resin then compacting with extreme heat and pressure.

-more durable, waterproof, chemical resistant, no warping, brighter colors, manmade feel, naturally smoother but can easily be textured very aggressively.
